Tavík František Šimon (1877 - 1942) VILLAGE HOUSES

Graphic sheet with timbered snow-covered cottages from the extensive production of František Šimon Tavík. František Šimon Tavík was one of Max Pirner's pupils and was one of the most important graphic artists, painters, woodcutters and later taught at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was a member of SVU Mánes and a co-founder of the Hollar Association. He traveled extensively - in the years 1926 - 1927 he even traveled around the world.
