Josef Lada (1887 - 1957) CAROLERS

Lada's landscapes cannot be understood in the sense of classical landscape art, although they have undoubtedly enriched the artistic register. Josef Lada usually returns to the landscape of his native Hrusice, to picturesque architecture where human or animal figures are not missing. Lada's landscapes thus tell a story, often corresponding with the cyclical nature of the year and folk festivals and celebrations.
