The surrealist landscape cancels the relative distances between the small and the large and lets the landscape elements speak in parallel with the small and germinal elements. Here, he achieves a harmonious effect by composing spatial plans with a low and fragmented horizon and an earthy color, and lets only living and inanimate nature speak to us visually. For early, poetically conceived cycles, he found inspiration in nature (Birds, Trees, Butterflies, Grasses). From the 1960s, he used new handwritten structural elements (Organisms, Cells) in anthropomorphic motifs. All of Janeček's free and applied creation of poetic expression with an important role of color is thematically focused on nature and its detail. Ota Janeček was an important Czech painter, graphic artist and illustrator. Ota Janeček's works can be found in NG in Prague, Tate Gallery and other collections around the world.
