Jan Bočan (1937 - 2010) DESIGN FLOOR LAMP

Bočan was born in 1937, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague in 1962 and soon became one of the main representatives of Czech Brutalism. All of Bočan's buildings were conceived comprehensively - including interior details and furnishings - and thus created complete works of art. Reflecting on the concept of the Czechoslovak embassy in Stockholm, Bočan remarked: "We wanted the environment to feel more like an interpretation of a garden than a specific place, to evoke in a broader sense the culture of the nation it represents."
