A PAIR OF RENAISSANCE STYLE SGABELLO CHAIRS

Sgabello is a type of chair with richly carved wooden legs and backrest. This form originated in Renaissance Italy in the 16th and 17th centuries. The offered pairs of chairs of this type in walnut wood are decorated with figural masterful carvings with grotesque ornaments recognizably stylized in the period of historicism in the second half of the 19th century. Excellent condition.
