František Pečinka was one of the first Czech painters to experiment with the technique of Impressionism and Pointillist painting. F. X. Jiřík characterized his works as follows: "Pečinka's art has a purpose in itself and stems from sensory impulses. Reflections and intellectual constructions we do not find logical and calculated in him, nor also mechanical imitation, copying nature. P. is an artist too emotional to not imprint the character of his soft sensitive temperament. " František Pečinka applied sharp tones to the canvas directly from the tube and tried to create a vivid and richly colored impression, which characterized nature in all its possibilities.
