Josef Hoffmann (1870 - 1956) A COAT STAND

A very rarely seen famous coat stand was designed by the renowned Viennese architect and designer Josef Hoffmann, who led the timeless modern design of the time. The coat stand, numbered 1098, was made by the furniture workshop of J. J. Kohn around 1905. Four columns are topped with a sphere connected by a notched top, on which there are a total of eight handles with an elegant dynamic curve. At the bottom, an umbrella space with placed sheet metal and rounded wood on the legs. Excellent preserved condition.
