Bohumír Dvorský (1902 - 1976) DER WEG ZUM DORF

Artwork Road to village bears clear signs of work of Bohumír Dvorský, Czech landscape painter. In a way he piles up the paint on a canvas is a trace of Paul Cézanne whom he admired deeply. Even if the houses in the village make an impression of a focal geometric point of the composition, there are wild intersecting brush strokes in the skies flying above the suggested treetops and also above a colourful meadow with flashes of emerald green.
