Oldřich Kulhánek was a bet on quality in the graphic craft. His bravura technique became an instrument of Renaissance ideals of the body, eroticism and social criticism and subsequent prosecution by the regime. The combination of precise craftsmanship and wild comic collage brings a testimony to a difficult time, the Prohibition series, where Oldřich Kulhánek launches an attack on dictators and a regime that he strongly opposed. The graphic sheets are a series of cries of absurdity, cruelty and obscenity.
