Turkey and Turkish motifs were close to Adolf Born's heart. Sultans, harem dancers, Turkish calligraphy, Turkish humor - all this became a fountain of inspiration for Adolf Born. Kara Mustafa was a central figure in the final phase of Ottoman military endeavor in Central Europe. He failed at Vienna with two hundred thousand men and was subsequently executed.
