Josef Lada (1887 - 1957) FOX

The drawing of one of the most famous foxes by Josef Lada, a well-known illustrator, is an example of his unmistakable handwriting. This is almost the same illustration as on the cover of the children's book About the Clever Godfather Fox. The scenes that cross his entire work are based on events in his native Hrusice. The icon of Czech painting and illustration with the typical handwriting of strong lines and rounded shapes of figures belongs to the common knowledge today. The work is accompanied by an original receipt dated March 6, 1941 from S.V.U Mánes with the request: "Color!" Catalog number 999 - Animal.
