This exceptional example of timeless, laconic design probably comes from the famous Viennese workshops of Josef Danhauser, who continued the work of his father, who was primarily involved in interior design in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The rich pattern of walnut wood is complemented by inlaid lines of maple wood. The upper sliding top can be supplemented centrally by two additional connecting parts, which extend the table by a further 100 cm in total. The extremely precise quality of the workmanship shows that this was a design piece of furniture, highly valued at the time, intended for the most demanding clientele. Completely restored, excellent condition.
