From the expert assessment of PhDr. Rea Michalová Ph.D.: "The assessed work represents completely in a rather decent format Šíma's final creative phase, in which the author arrived at a unique synthesis of expressions, characterized by special production, formal liberation and internal luminosity, reminiscent of the late period of the work of old masters: Titian, Tintoretto or Rembrandt. At the end of the 1960s, he returned to the theme of mental landscapes flooded with vibrant, opalescent light, whose character apparatus was reduced to a minimum and referred primarily to spiritual experiences. The assessed drawing convincingly fits into the collection of Ším's works from 1969, when the painter he changed it by placing it in the first picture plan a kind of "scaffolding", strengthening the previously unbounded space. In the considered drawing, this "lattice" is indicated very finely and together with the levitating earth plans it creates a very delicate graphic construction. The effect of subtle lines is enhanced by the author's typical azure blue and delicate drawing "sfumato". It is the cold "sun of other worlds" that the painter dreamed of in the second half of the 1930s. The light here has the function of a desacralized cosmic element and at the same time the highest spiritual entity."
