Josef Drahoňovský (1877 - 1938) A GIRL WITH A JUG

The intaglio on a chain with the motif of a woman in a dynamic pose with a pitcher and a flowing drapery with cut edges, set in a white gold mount, is the work of Josef Drahoňovský, who contributed significantly to the preservation of artisan glyptics in Bohemia. Intaglio in a variant of crystal glass, a material that Josef Drahoňovský also used for jewellery making at this time.
