Summer Landscape is one of the most representative examples of the work of Václav Jansa, an outstanding landscape painter who devoted himself lovingly to the Czech landscape. Václav Jansa was one of the Czech landscape painters who excelled in capturing atmosphere and attention to detail. He excelled in depicting deeper horizons with interesting colour. Together with Luděk Marold, K. Rašek and L. Vacátek, he worked on the panorama of the Battle of Lipany.
