Pavel Janák (1882 - 1956) CUBIST BOX

The box with a regular hexagonal base, with walls folded into two edges and a tented lid with a handle, fits into the cubist morphology seeking perfect shape in crystalline form, which was probably most developed in ceramic art by Pavel Janák, who designed the model for the Artěl production cooperative. It was made by Graniton, Svijany-Podolí. Scratches and slight bruises on the sides.
