ART DECO VASE

The figural vase with blue and gold decoration was made by a major Czech porcelain factory founded in Duchcov in 1853. After its success at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900 and awards at the World Expositions in Saint Louis (1904) and Milan (1908), the company managed to expand to many countries in Europe, North and South America and Australia. In the 1920s and 1930s, the famous Art Deco dancer figures appeared, inspired, among other things, by the poses of the Parisian dancer Josephine Baker. Bottom with numerical marking: 2893 / 6.
