Vlastimil Rada (1895 - 1962) CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

Vlastimil Rada enriched Czech landscape painting with scenes of winter in Železnobrodsko. Village houses in a gloomy winter landscape, motifs with simple stories of people following the Mikoláš Aleš's tradition are the main features of his work. He is a representative of the modern national tradition in Czech landscape painting in the period between the 1st and 2nd world war. It has a permanent exhibition in the Municipal Gallery of Vlastimil Rada in Železný Brod.
