BIEDERMEIER “SPUCKNAPF” SPITTOON

An example of timeless design and a popular addition to all homes and public buildings. The trumpet-shaped leg exhibits features of the designs of the important Viennese cabinetmaker Joseph Danhauser, who used this shape for table legs. The spittoon comes from the important collection of the First Republic publisher and owner of a printing press, Edward Beaufort.
