Jaroslav Šetelík (1881 - 1955) A VIEW OF PRAGUE

A master landscape work on a representative view of the panorama of Malá Strana with the dominant Church of St. Nicholas. It offers bright color tones of autumn and absolutely believable work with light. The range of pastel shading captures the panorama in a subtle cloud cover and perfectly models perspective. Jaroslav Šetelík is one of the landscape painters who devoted a lifetime of painting to Prague.
