František Xaver Naske (1884 - 1959) PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN WITH A HAT

At first glance, the portrait of a woman in a hat impresses with its brisk handwriting and refined colors, where the Art Nouveau-toned portrait is dominated by a red women's hat with a feather decoration. František Xaver Naske devoted himself to fine art, but also designed costumes and masks. He devoted himself to portraits of important personalities from artistic environment and nudes. In the 1920s and 1930s, the means of expression in his paintings became significantly thicker and the painting can have an abstract-like character.
