Jaroslav Panuška (1872 - 1958) ON THE SHORE OF A POND

Jaroslav Panuška was one of the virtuoso landscape painters who managed to capture the mood and events in nature with brisk and very believable painting. Landscape On the shore of a pond provides a convincing record of the mood of the pond under a cloudy sky. The subdued cool color palette creates a feeling of a cold, damp and darker day, which, on the other hand, may be suitable for undisturbed observation of waterfowl indicated by several subtle strokes in the middle. Jaroslav Panuška projected the moods and changes of the landscape into his paintings with great care and used his knowledge to perfectly tune the atmosphere of his fairy-tale symbolist compositions.
