Ferdiš Kostka (1878 - 1951) (zugeschrieben) STUPAVA JUG

The large jug is a skilful and rare example of Stupava pottery with a hunting figure. Under the ear with a reference G.E. 760 and the mark ST. A significant contribution of the ceramic art of western Slovakia was the enrichment of the Haban-Slovak tradition with a new folk form, which was created by the reworking of the famous Holíč pottery. Good condition, cracks on one side of the jug.
