Hand-knotted wool carpet on a cotton warp. A beautiful all-over floral design in a fresh geometrical garment, harmoniously coordinated in a charming palette of colors from purely natural sources (including dark blue - indigo, crimson - dyed dye, beige - natural undyed camel wool, etc.). The dark blue ground is decorated in three indicated vertical axes with distinctive star flowers, surrounded on the sides by crimson and cobalt blue tulips with yellow petals in the middle of the flowers. The crimson bands with a motif that depicts a woman's hair headdress and is interpreted as a wedding motif is a symbol of the tie-breaker's desire for marriage. Although hundreds of villages and communities are engaged in the production of hand-knotted woolen carpets in the province of Hamadan, the seat of Indjelas at an altitude of over two thousand meters above sea level is undoubtedly one of the most famous. An example is this wedding rug, very likely tied as part of a dowry, demonstrating the skill of the bride.
