Jiří Mesický (1967) PORTRAIT OF A GIRL

Jiří Mesický studied painting at AVU, UCLA in California and in New York. Now he mainly focuses on commissioned portraits and plein airs. He considers the creative process to be a dialogue, and even though it may seem like an attempt to realistically imitate what is in front of us, he tries to find deeper layers in visual reality. In his view, painting becomes an introspective means. The painting of a little girl is a playful reflection of a child in terms of formality and, above all, color.
