Albín Brunovský was one of the most outstanding personalities of Slovak art of his generation. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava under Vincent Hložník, and later served as a professor of book design and for a period as rector. He became famous as a graphic designer and illustrator, author of extensive works. The work on offer is an excellent example of his life's work, which is characterised by its minute descriptiveness, convincing illusiveness and technical virtuosity. The album consists of a total of eight original etchings and seven poems by various Slovak poets. Each of his imaginative sheets is brimming with a wealth of detail, executed to the smallest detail. The size shown is the size of the paper.
