A carpet from the Qom religious centre with a less conventional design and an even more unusual colour palette that stands out, especially in bright, well-lit interiors. The composition is dominated by a central medallion composed of curved drops, also known as the 'drop of life' or 'seed of life', a motif called 'boteh' (Persian for plant). The central medallion is a highly stylized tree of life and in a broader sense, the design of the carpet is a representation of the Garden of Eden. The weave density is almost one million knots per square meter, Extremely Fine category.
