Ota Janeček (1919 - 1996) PORTRAIT OF RICHARD FREMUND

Richard Fremund (April 9, 1928 Prague - May 21, 1969 Prague) was a Czech painter, graphic artist, draftsman and stage designer. The portrait by Ota Janeček comes from before his first solo exhibition. His 1956 exhibition was sharply condemned by official critics. The year 1956 was also significant for Richard Fremund in that he left (with Ota Janeček and František Dvořák) on a three-month trip to Paris.
