Vlastislav Hofman (1884 - 1964) A CUBIST COFFEE SERVICE

Six cups with saucer: 6 x 14.5 cm; Kettle with lid: 17.5 x 16 cm; Milkweed: 15 x 14.5 cm; Sugar bowl with lid: 9.5 x 17.5 cm. The unique and very rare Cubist coffee service designed by Vlastislav Hofman for the Artěl production undoubtedly belongs to the iconic and timeless models of pre-war Europe.
Elegance enhanced by Hofman's understanding of design rests on the simple principle of intersecting vertical and horizontal red lines. The sugar bowl and teapot are finished on the lids with a cone-shaped handle. Offered coffee service has not yet appeared on the Czech or foreign markets.
